A Comparison of Hypertext, Scrolling and Folding as Mechanisms for Program Browsing

چکیده

Hypertext removes some of the constraints of conventional linear text by providing mechanisms for physicaily realizing the conceptual links between related sections of material. This research examines the use of a hypertext browser with a literate program. A literate program has a sequential structure, in that it is divided into sections presented in a particular order, and a hierarchical structure, in that some sections 'use' other sections.
